About

Company Overview

Studer Cables AG is a Swiss manufacturer of industrial cables and wiring systems engineered for safe and sustainable energy transmission worldwide. In an era defined by the energy transition, the company occupies a critical position in the infrastructure value chain, producing the cables that connect power generation to the grid and the grid to end users, across demanding environments and geographies.

The company's reputation is built on Swiss engineering precision and uncompromising quality standards. With a workforce of 400 to 450 employees, Studer Cables serves customers globally, delivering products that meet the highest safety and performance requirements. From conventional power distribution to renewable energy installations, the company's cable systems are trusted in applications where failure is not an option.

Studer Cables represents the kind of essential industrial business that forms the backbone of modern infrastructure: technically sophisticated, quality-driven, and indispensable to its customers.

Partnership

Our Partnership

Helvetica Capital acquired a majority stake in Studer Cables through a management buy-out in December 2020, providing a succession solution for the company's ownership while preserving operational continuity. The partnership focused on stabilising the ownership structure and positioning the business for its next growth phase.

Transition

Transition

Within approximately two years, Studer Cables was ready for its next chapter. The Harting entrepreneurial family (owners of the HARTING Technology Group, a global connector and networking specialist with over 6,200 employees across 44 countries) emerged as the ideal long-term owner.

The transaction combined family ownership values with a strategic industrial partnership, giving Studer Cables access to HARTING's global distribution network while preserving its Swiss identity and operational independence. All employees were retained. It was a succession completed as intended — Swiss-built, family-owned, globally connected.
